Thom Markham

Thom Markham is an author, educator, positive psychologist, and global entrepreneur who has shared his expertise with over 6000 teachers and 400 schools worldwide. He is considered a PBL pioneer and in 2024 Thom co-founded PBL Future Labs with Phil Alcock to advocate for an AI-integrated model of project based learning that integrates design thinking, personalization, and social entrepreneurship. In addition to books on project based learning, Thom is the author of Redefining Smart: Awakening Students’ Power to Reimagine Their World—a book that reflects his commitment to collaborating with educators and leaders to mobilize youth globally to become design thinkers, insightful citizens, and empathetic collaborators focused on sustainability and the common good.
