John Tapper

As the CEO/Founder of The All Learners Network, I have been on a mission to transform math education for all children, especially those who are marginalized by poverty, race, or learning differences. For the last eight years, I have led a talented team of educators, researchers, and consultants who work with schools across the country to provide in-person and online professional development, coaching, and resources on effective and inclusive math instruction.

My work for equity through mathematics comes from an extensive background as an elementary teacher, math coach, curriculum coordinator, and professor of elementary education. I have over 20 years of experience in the classroom, working with diverse learners and developing innovative programs. I also have a PhD in Teaching and Learning, with a focus on mathematics learning, and I have conducted and published research on teaching methods, learning outcomes, and the effects of poverty on math achievement. I have multiple certifications in elementary education and curriculum and instruction, and I have presented and trained educators nationally and internationally on math education topics. Through my work at The All Learners Network, I aim to empower and inspire educators and students to embrace math as a tool for social justice and personal growth.
